Teamsters Local 731 Scholarship Fund Back to School Fair

On Saturday, July 14, 2018, the Teamsters Local 731 Scholarship Fund held its 3rd Annual Back to School Fair. Every eligible child who attended left with a full backpack of school supplies and much more. A wonderful new addition this year was the inclusion of Pre-K children! We had a community police officer available to provide safety tips and D.A.R.E information, a dentist to answer questions, basic hearing screenings, and a nutritionist was here explaining good eating habits for children. We also had a representative from the Scholarship committee here to answer questions, and representatives from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission provided an information table, as well as 2 presentations to assist parents and high school students with information on how to obtain Financial Aid assistance for college. And don’t forget the entertainment. We had face painting, balloon creations and many great giveaways! THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CAME OUT TO MAKE THE 3rd ANNUAL TEAMSTERS LOCAL 731 SCHOLARSHIP FUND BACK TO SCHOOL FAIR A GREAT SUCCESS!
